The Basic Drilling Calculations course is designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform essential calculations in drilling operations within the oil and gas industry. This course focuses on the mathematical aspects of drilling, enabling participants to accurately analyze and make critical decisions related to drilling parameters and performance.

Throughout the course, participants will be introduced to the fundamental calculations involved in drilling operations. They will learn how to calculate drilling rates, penetration rates, and the time required to drill a well. This includes understanding the concepts of rate of penetration (ROP), drilling efficiency, and the factors that affect drilling speed.

Participants will also gain proficiency in calculating drilling fluid properties, such as density, viscosity, and flow rates. They will learn how to perform hydraulic calculations to determine the pressure requirements for drilling mud circulation, mud weight control, and the prevention of well control issues.
