Course Overview
The COSHH training course allows learners to be able to work with hazardous
substances safely and effectively in a way that is appropriate to their work. Employees
will understand the risks associated with dangerous substances, and the precautions
they can take to ensure their safety.

Day One
- Globally Harmonized System (GHS) for Classification and Labelling of Chemicals.
- UN/US DOT Classifications of Chemicals
- UAE- IHMMS – Integrated Hazardous Materials Management System (IHMMS). Overview, Laws and Regulations.
- CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service)
- Environmental Protection / aspect & impacts.
- Exposure limits( Workplace exposure limits(WEL)
- Physical, Health and Environment Hazard of chemicals
- Chronic & immediate health issues for use of chemical.
- Carcinogenic/ flammable/ corrosive/ irritant chemicals/ explosive.
- Chemical reactions.
- EAD- chemical storages & handling regulations.
- Safety signages & symbols.
- Safety Data Sheet
- Identify how risk assessments reduce accidents and ill health at work
- Corrective actions & control measures.
- Emergency preparedness
