48-hours OSH Specialist

Employees with safety responsibilities should be properly trained to help make sure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to assist safety managers and perform other duties as determined by the employer. This program is designed for safety specialists, coordinators, and others responsible for implementing their organization’s safety and health program. Emphasis is placed on gaining the knowledge and skills to assist in the establishment and management of and effective safety and health program.

36-hours OSH Trainer (Train the Trainer)

This “Train-the-Trainer” program is designed to help students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct occupational safety and health training for their employer. This program includes training program requirements, how to develop effective training, and best practices for presenting safety and health training. This program also covers important safety and health concepts every trainer needs to know.

The student’s presentation skills should be evaluated locally by a training manager, competent person, or the student’s employer.

36-hours OSH Supervisor

Supervisors are invaluable to a world-class safety culture. As an “agent of the employer,” every supervisor has a legal obligation to understand his or her safety responsibilities in the workplace. This program helps supervisors develop the knowledge and skills to fulfill those responsibilities and be an effective leader.

36-hours Safety Committee Chair

Many states require an employer to establish a safety committee/team to support a safe and healthy workplace. Unfortunately, too many safety committees/teams lack the leadership needed to be effective. This program is specifically designed to help develop the knowledge and skills of the safety committee/team leader (also called the chairperson). 30-hour General Industry Safety and Health

The 30-hour General Industry Safety and Health Program is intended to provide workers with some safety responsibility a greater depth and variety of training on an expanded list of topics associated with workplace hazards in general industry. The Program provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in their workplaces. The program also provides information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint.

10-hour General Industry Safety and Health

This training program is intended to provide entry level general industry workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint as well as how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards in their workplace. The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter in the workplace. The training emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.

10-hour General Industry: Warehouse Safety

This 10-hour General Industry: Warehouse Safety program is intended to provide workers with a variety of safety training topics associated with workplace hazards in the warehouse industry. This program helps employers meet OSHA training requirements for their warehouse staff. In addition to OSHA’s required topics for general industry (6 hours), this program also provides 4 hours of warehouse-specific training, covering topics such as personal protective equipment, materials handling safety, and controlling hazardous energy (lockout/tagout) training.

10-hour General Industry: Restaurant Safety

This 10-hour General Industry: Restaurant Safety program is intended to provide workers with a variety of safety training topics associated with workplace hazards in the restaurant industry. This program helps employers meet OSHA training requirements for their restaurant staff. In addition to OSHA’s required topics for general industry (6 hours), this program also provides 4 hours of restaurant-specific training, covering topics such as worker safety in restaurants, workplace hygiene and illness prevention, and ergonomic hazards in general industry.

10-hour General Industry: Housekeeping

This 10-hour General Industry: Housekeeping program is intended to provide workers with a variety of safety training topics associated with workplace hazards in the housekeeping industry. This program helps employers meet OSHA training requirements for their housekeeping staff. In addition to OSHA’s required topics for general industry (6 hours), this program also provides 4 hours of housekeeping-specific training, covering topics such as workplace hygiene and illness prevention, housekeeping safety, and bloodborne pathogens training.

10-hour Employee Occupational Safety and Health
