OVERVIEW
Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is recommended for learners who wish to understand basic first aid in the workplace and who also have access to a defibrillator.
How long will it take?
To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake approximately 4 hours of learning.
Topics covered
These include be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally, be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally, know how to safely use an automated external defibrillator and be able to safely use an automated external defibrillator.
Assessment method
This qualification can be assessed by a practical demonstration and written/oral questioning. Highfield recommends that you contact the relevant government department in the country that you want to deliver the training to ensure that there are no additional approval requirements. It may be that you are required to register as a training provider within the country itself. Highfield approves Centres based on its own criteria, and does not represent any other organisations or departments.
