The (ASME) B31.3 Process Piping Code is considered to be the international standard for piping in processing plants.
The Code is used for piping typically found in petroleum refineries; chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, paper, semiconductor, and cryogenic plants; and related process plants and terminals.
Explaining how piping systems function and what the Code requirements are for various types of installations is the aim of this course. The Code provides requirements for the design, fabrication, examination and testing of metallic piping systems designed for the wide variety of fluid services used in the process industries. Selection of materials, pipe, valves and fittings will be discussed.
