Course Description

The course is suitable for persons who are required to work in areas where there may be a risk of falling and those who may be required to act as standby personnel and manage or supervise persons required to work at heights. Participants completing this course will understand the legislative requirements detailed in the OH&S Regulation and relevant Australian Standards, Workover Codes of Practice and the operation and maintenance of associated safety equipment used for working at heights. As per guidelines of OSHAD-SF – Code of Practice 23.0 – Work at Height Learning Objectives Understand the principle legislation on working at height Recognize the hazards when working at height Recognize the hazards associated with ladders and stepladders Consider the factors in organizing and planning work at height Consider how to design out ladder usage Carryout a risk assessment for working at height Select and use the correct low level access equipment
