Coaching and mentoring
Coaching and mentoring are development approaches based on the use of one-to-one conversations to enhance an individual’s skills, knowledge or work performance.
Whether it’s helping to shape the careers of talented individuals, encouraging innovative ideas and new perspectives or simply building resilience in preparation for the challenges ahead, coaching and mentoring skills can be used every day to improve performance.
This program is intended to be highly engaging, with a combination of theory and practical sessions (group problem-solving / planning, experiential practice with role-playing of varied difficulty scenarios, interactive discussions & application exercises). The program will equip participants with the information and abilities they need to become much more effective coaches and mentors. They’ll also know how to put the tools and approaches to work in their workplaces to boost employee motivation, ownership, productivity, and effectiveness.
Scenarios of varied complexity will be used to allow participants to put their communicating skills to the test in scenarios with differing dynamics. They’ll discover how their communication strengths in one circumstance may become a major roadblock in another, and how to put their “best foot forward” as consistently credible and encouraging senior management mentors, regardless of the coachee / mentee personality type or frame of reference.
