In spite of the medical, scientific and technological advances of the past few decades, the spread of infectious diseases is still an incredibly important issue and one which ultimately causes countless health problems and, in severe cases, death.Controlling the spread of infection is vital in a wide variety of workplaces including hospitals, care homes, schools and nurseries, in fact anywhere people live and work together. It is therefore important that staff operating in high-risk workplaces have some knowledge of the control of infection.
Achievement of a Highfield HACCP qualification will give learners a firm understanding of the principles of HACCP and ensure the cost-effective implementation of a food-safety management system. This will ultimately reduce the risk of food poisoning and food complaints. Upon successful completion of the qualification learners will receive a Highfield certificate that evidences their knowledge of HACCP. Implementing what they have learned on their HACCP training course will lead to improved standards of safety in a catering environment.
