It’s how we convince the public that the elements of roadways, curbs, sidewalks, and other infrastructure, whether we build them ourselves or hire contractors to do so, will be durable and perform to realistic expectations. In a nutshell, it’s one of the ways we make sure the public gets their money’s value. In this regard, quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) play a crucial role.
The purpose of this course is to assure the quality of all equipment, materials, structures, components and systems utilized in the construction, manufacturing and operation of all types of industrial facilities as well as benefit from quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) both off-site at manufacturers’ facilities and on-site during the construction process.
The course will run through important criteria including how to use tests and inspection methods to verify whether plans and specifications are being followed throughout construction. Construction quality control is described as a set of actions that assures that a facility is built according to the design specifications. Inspections, verifications, audits, and evaluations of materials and workmanship are all part of the system, which are used to determine and document the facility’s quality.
